What to know before you commit

Any medication is separate. A medication is prescribed only if deemed medically appropriate. Your doctor may instead recommend advice, a referral to another practitioner, monitoring, lifestyle changes, or no treatment. Where a medication is prescribed, its cost is set and billed by your own pharmacy, not by us.

How the plan continues. The plan covers your initial consultation, your initial blood panel and one review at 3 months. After the six-month plan, a new consultation is needed to reassess. Where a Hormonal Optimisation pathway applies, repeat blood testing and review are needed about every six months to continue safely. Ongoing consultations and repeat bloods are billed separately.

A live telehealth consultation with a qualified Australian doctor is required before any treatment plan. Individual results vary based on your unique biology and commitment to the program. Assessment findings do not guarantee a particular outcome.

Telehealth is not suitable for all health concerns. Your doctor may recommend in-person assessment, urgent care, a GP review, a referral to another practitioner, further investigation, or no treatment, depending on your circumstances. In an emergency, call 000.

What is included in the fee?

The fee covers the consultation and care described on this page, including your time with a qualified Australian doctor. Where care continues, it covers scheduled medical reviews and ongoing clinical oversight as set out in your plan. We explain exactly what is included before you commit to anything, and we provide itemised invoices for your records.

Are medication costs included?

No. Any medication is separate from these fees. A medication is prescribed only if deemed medically appropriate. Your doctor may instead recommend advice, monitoring, a referral, or no medication at all. Where a medication is prescribed, its cost is set and billed by your own pharmacy, not by us.

Can I claim through Medicare or private health?

A Medicare or private health benefit may apply, depending on your fund and cover. Consultation fees may sit outside Medicare and the PBS. We provide itemised invoices so you can check what you may be able to claim with your fund.

Is the consultation fee refundable?

The consultation fee pays for the doctor's time and assessment, which you receive whatever the outcome. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription, so the fee is not refundable on the basis that no treatment was recommended. If you have a billing question, contact our care team and we will talk it through.

Can I cancel the membership?

The Advanced Optimisation Membership has a six-month minimum commitment, which is explained to you before you start. After that, you can choose whether to continue. If your circumstances change, your doctor reviews your care accordingly. Contact the care team to discuss your options.
