Getting started
What the clinic is, and how the first steps fit together.
What does the clinic do?
We run medical consultations by telehealth with qualified Australian doctors, Australia-wide. You start with a structured medical questionnaire. Then you have a live consultation with a doctor who reviews your history and goals. The doctor works through any next steps with you.
What is the difference between the questionnaire and the consultation?
The questionnaire is an intake form that gathers your history before you meet a doctor. It is not a consultation. It is never used on its own to diagnose or to decide on treatment. The consultation is a live conversation with a doctor. It is a required part of the process before any treatment plan.
What is the free 10-minute call?
It is a free 10-minute call, direct with our founders, Ken and Adam, to help you find the right starting point. You can ask how the clinic works and whether it suits you. It is a quick intro chat, not a medical consultation. Your care itself is always led by a qualified Australian doctor.
Is telehealth right for me?
Telehealth suits many situations, though not all of them. Your doctor may recommend in-person assessment, GP review, referral to another practitioner, further investigation, or no treatment, depending on your circumstances. Telehealth is not suitable for all conditions. In an emergency, call 000.
Consultations & prescribing
How decisions are made, and what can come out of a consultation.
Will I be prescribed something?
Not always. A consultation is not a prescription. Your doctor assesses you first, then talks through the options with you, including the option of no treatment. Any treatment is prescribed only if deemed medically appropriate. In accordance with Australian regulatory requirements, we do not advertise specific prescription medicines.
What might the outcome of a consultation be?
It depends on what your doctor finds. Possible outcomes include general advice, lifestyle guidance, a referral to another practitioner, further investigation such as pathology, ongoing monitoring, a treatment if deemed medically appropriate, or no treatment. Individual results vary.
What areas of health do you consult on?
We consult on six areas: Performance & Energy, Recovery & Injury Support, Weight Loss & Body Composition, Hormonal Optimisation, Sleep, Focus & Mental Clarity, and Longevity & Healthy Ageing. Each one is a medical consultation with a doctor.
Why might pathology be suggested?
Where it is relevant, pathology can help your doctor make safe, considered decisions and review your care over time. Whether any pathology is needed is a clinical decision made during your care.
Pricing & Medicare
What you pay, and how funding may or may not apply.
What does it cost?
There are two ways to start. The Performance Consultation is $149 AUD, one-time. The Advanced Performance Consultation and Blood Panel is $349 AUD, one-time, and includes a doctor consultation with a comprehensive blood analysis. Ongoing care is a separate Advanced Optimisation Membership at $99 per month, with a six-month minimum. Any medication is separate and is not included in these fees.
Does Medicare or private health apply?
Consultation fees may sit outside Medicare and the PBS. Some private health funds cover part of a consultation through extras. This depends on your fund and policy, so check with your fund. We provide itemised invoices to help.
What is included in ongoing care?
Ongoing care is the Advanced Optimisation Membership, a separate offering that runs over six months. It can include scheduled reviews, ongoing clinical oversight, and access to the care team. What is included is explained before you commit. If your circumstances change, your doctor reviews your care.
Can I change or pause the membership?
The Advanced Optimisation Membership is a six-month commitment. That length lets your doctor monitor your care, make adjustments and support you properly over time. If your circumstances change, we can review your situation on a case-by-case basis. What is included, and the terms, are explained before you commit.
Are there any other costs?
Any medication is billed separately and is not part of the consultation fee. If your doctor recommends pathology, that may carry its own cost. We explain the fees before you commit to anything.
Privacy & safety
How your information is handled, and how cancellations work.
How is my health information kept private?
Your personal and health information is handled under the Australian Privacy Principles and our Privacy Policy. We collect only what is needed to provide your care and to meet our legal and professional obligations. You can read the detail on our privacy page.
Who can see my consultation details?
Your information is available to the doctors and care team involved in your care. Where coordinated care with another practitioner helps, that happens with your consent. Our Privacy Policy explains how your information is stored, used and disclosed.
How do cancellations and rescheduling work?
You can reschedule or cancel a consultation by contacting the clinic. Cancellation terms, including any fee, are set out in our Terms and Conditions, so you know where you stand before you book.
What should I do in an emergency?
Telehealth is not suitable for emergencies. If you or someone else is at risk or facing a medical emergency, call 000 straight away. For mental health support, you can also call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
